IMPORTANT: Due to the variety of vehicle configurations TL11 covers, there are 3 different programming types possible when used in remote start applications:
- With transponder and CAN: vehicles that have BOTH an immobilizer and CAN connections
- Without transponder with CAN: vehicles that DON'T have an immobilizer, but DO have CAN connections
- With transponder without CAN: vehicles that DO have an immobilizer, but DON'T have CAN connections
These configurations can vary from vehicle-to-vehicle, so make sure to identify the particular configuration in the vehicle being worked on and use the corresponding programming type.
ADDITIONALLY: TL11 requires either CAN or Transponder to program. If CAN connections are NOT used and the vehicle does NOT have a Transponder, then ANALOG firmware is required.
The TL11 installation guides can be used for wire and connection details, but you will need to identify if the vehicle being worked on is equipped with a Transponder or not.
